What is a good example of a light Chinese food?

On a typical Chinese food menu, you have all sorts of fried things in thick sauces. I am looking for an entr茅e or a side that is likely to be on the average Chinese food menu that isn't heavy but still tastes good. Lo mein is as close as I've ever come, but I haven't branched out much (and lo mein is still rather heavy after being cooked in that oil).

Any suggestions?|||Wonton soup

Wonton noodle soup

Sauteed shrimp

Sauteed snow peas

Sauteed string beans

Shrimp with snow peas

Vegetable delight (aka stir-fried mixed vegetables)

You could specify that you don't want thick sauce.

Some places might have blanched "kai-lan" (Chinese broccoli) with oyster sauce and steamed dishes such at steamed chicken with ginger and scallion.|||Sorry Katie, except for the vegetarian dishes there are no light side dishes in American Chinese food, I am in China writing this and they eat more vegetables then anyone in the world and very little meat, and many veggie dishes are made in a light watery soup base here but since they have to cater to our tastes, they make things more filling in the US.|||Dishes with bok choy contain a lot of the vegetable. Or you could get a vegetarian version.|||boiled rice?

ive just got a huge craving for chinese food at the moment|||PANDA EXPRESS :DD
