I'm going to my friend's 21st birthday party next week, and it's ridiculously themed- everyone has to be dressed as an item from a restaurant menu somehow, and I've been assigned a Chinese Takeout menu. Any clever ideas?Costume Idea Needed: Chinese Takeout Menu Theme?
Egg roll or Fortune cookie. If you're really thin you could go as a chopstick. I think I would put on a white chef coat and and some kind of bandana on my head and bring a bag of chinese food and go as the delivery guy. You be sure to be a hit when you break out chow mein and pupu platter.
A fortune cookie.
Ok, I agree, it'll be a little tough, and one week doesn't give you a lot of time.
Perhaps with a big sheet of yellow foam rubber. And it would really only have to wrap your torso, with your arms, legs and head sticking out. If you wear (cheap) white pants and a long-sleeve white shirt (no cuffs), you could write 4 big fortunes, one along each sleeve and pant leg, resembing large white strips of paper sticking out. And/or you could also dispense regular-sized fortunes to everyone who pulled one at the party (or just have whole fortune cookies that they could reach in and get...or you could hand it out). You can buy fortunes (without the cookie), some of which are pretty funny (not the typical fortune).
Otherwise, I don't know, becuase I just don't see fried rice, an egg roll or pork spare ribs as very amusing, much less doable.
Good luck.Costume Idea Needed: Chinese Takeout Menu Theme?
You could make an A-Frame menu board to wear with a Chinese Takeout menu written on it (front and back). You could also wear a set of chopsticks in your hair......... Maybe attach some fortune cookie papers to your arms (enlarge the fortunes so they'll be readable).
That's all I've got!
Good luck and have fun!!!!!
try to make a Chinese dragon carrying a little Chinese food takeout little dinner rice box and a Chinese menu
