I have recently got an r4 (real) yet when i use English kernel 1.18 it stays at the loading screen. The only thing that worked was a SChinese-1.21 the thing is everything in Chinese!!!
I tried using a patcher. it didn't work.
I converted English kernel 1.18 to Chinese compatible, japan compatible, m3 Chinese compatible, m3 jap compatible but it didn't work.
Tried to patch schinese kernal but it wouldn't do anything. I downloaded another schinese and tchinese (for some reason even when i hadnt patched it didnt work) it did convert but was still stuck at loading screen.
I also tried m3 English firmware all combination's but it didn't work. I couldn't find m3 Chinese firmware though.
Please someone help as i don't want to be in Chinese menus!!! thanks in advance!!!R4 Problem!!!! Chinese Menus!!!!?
all you have to do is update it http://r4ds.cn/download/r4_v1.18_kernel.… How to update R4?
After downloading and decompressing the new updated files, there will be one shell folder and two files _DS_MENU.DAT、 _DS_MSHL.NDS.Copy these files to the root directory of TF card to replace the former files
