Is chicken and mushroom soup from a Chinese take away likely to be healthy?

I had a take away from a chinese at the weekend and noticed on the menu that Chicken and Mushroom soup was only 拢2. Has anyone had soup from a chinese take away before? It surely has to taste better than tinned soup from a supermarket? Is chicken and mushroom soup from a Chinese take away likely to be healthy?
well it depends, seeing as it's a chicken and mushroom soup it probably has cream, quite a bit of salt, probably MSG, and maybe some chicken powder in it.

If the store is one of the new-age chinese restaurants that flaunts no msg etc then it's probably not too bad, but if it's one of the older stores it's probably not that healthy...tinned soup is also dependant on what type you get, it's best to look at the ingredients, some soups are advertised as all natural with no preservatives/msg, which is ok, but some have so much other stuff added to it that's definately NOT good for you.

If you want to be sure about whether or not it's healthy then it's better to just make it yourself, although for 2 pounds that's pretty cheap. Best to just not eat it too often
ermm, chinese cuisine is usually prepared with a great amount of oil, so if they had sauteed the mushrooms before adding the liquid then the amount of fat would inevitably be quite great

this is why it tastes better because there is more fat in it. if it was creamy they could have also added this.

but i think it's deffinately healthier than some battered chicken balls and chicken chow mein or whatever :))))) hope i helpedIs chicken and mushroom soup from a Chinese take away likely to be healthy?
Likely it is full of salt. Make your own soup with low sodium stock and season it yourself. Salt is a major contributor to high blood pressure which in turn contributes to things like stroke and kidney failure.
Most foods from any kind of restaurants are loaded with sodium and added salt... So you take the risk of raising your sodium levels no matter what restaurant you go to.
Nope. Take away food is rarely healthy. Even rice is healthier if home made.
