Is it true that Chinese Restaurants don't always use the meat that is advertised on the menu?

Rumor has it they sometimes serve pidgeon wings instead of chicken or cat or dog instead of beef.Is it true that Chinese Restaurants don't always use the meat that is advertised on the menu?
Just last month the "China King" Chinese restaurant, located in Hamburg, New Jersey was closed down after they were caught red-handed, butchering a road kill deer in the restaurant's kitchen.
no quality restaurant would do this, maybe in a really poor neighborhood with bad business.

Most of them by their foods at he asian markets, you can go see all of the meats your self. They used to say that they served cat, but that isn't true.Is it true that Chinese Restaurants don't always use the meat that is advertised on the menu?
Oh, really, How comes I can not hear that rumor. Tell me which one; I can not wait to give a try. I only know they all get meat from Tyson wholesale, because it is cheaper and high quality.
That rumor has been around since they really used pigeons and dogs. Don't think you have to worry to much anymore, unless the restaurant is next to the local animal shelter.

What was that goo in my Muu Goo Gai Pan?
yeah, because it's soooooo much easier to get large quantities of pidgeon wings than chicken wings. I have eaten pidgeon before.... you'd notice a bit of a size difference.
Thats a stereotype. What you should really pay attention to is - are you getting your money's worth? If you order a 1/2 chicken, do you get 1/2 a chicken?
I have heard that myself so I always order food that I can recognize.

Just check your food no matter where yo go.
